How to Read Your Serial Number
The serial number has two important pieces of information:
- The model number
- The manufacturing date or date code. These are the same thing and you can use this date to tell how old your system is.
The numbers can be small and may be hard to see. It may be helpful to use your phone and take a picture and then zoom in to see the numbers.
Depending on your unit, your label might look different. Here are a few examples and how to read them:

Where to Find the Model & Serial Number?

Undersink Filtration
Depending on the model, you can find your serial number under the top cover or on the outside of the housing.
Water Softeners
Depending on the model and age of your softener, the serial number will be located either on the back of the top cover near the plumbing connections, or on the inside rim below the salt lid hinges (pictured).
Central Water Filtration System
You can find your serial number on the back of the top cover, above the plumbing connections.
Tank Filter
You can find your serial number on the back valve head cover. The picture below shows it being towards the top, however, yours may be more toward the middle or bottom area.
