NSC22 / NSC31 / NSCWC
1. Plug the power supply into the outlet. You'll hear a beep, followed by some brief model information. Next, the screen will display the 'Present Time':
2. Present Time - use the Up/Down arrows to set the correct time. Be sure to check AM/PM. Press Select.
3. Hardness - the softener communicates in GPG. If the water supply contains clear water iron, add 5 to the hardness number for each 1 ppm of iron. Press Select.
4. Set Recharge Time - program for a time when the customer will not be using water (i.e. 2 AM). Press Select to return to the home screen.
NSC42
1. Plug the power supply into the outlet. You'll hear a beep, followed by some brief model information. Next, the screen will display the 'Present Time':

5. Set Salt Type - you can set this to NaCl or KCl. Press Select to return to the home screen.

1. Plug the power supply into the outlet. You'll hear a beep and a model code will display for a few seconds, followed by the 'Present Time' Screen.
2. Present time - use the Up/Down arrows to set the correct time. Be sure to check AM/PM. Press Select.
3. Hardness - the softener communicates in GPG. If the water supply contains clear water iron, add 5 to the hardness number for each 1 ppm of iron. Press Select.
4. Set Recharge Time - program for a time when the customer will not be using water (i.e. 2 AM). Press Select to return to the home screen.
