The top cover provides a housing for the control board, and protection for the electronics and moving parts. Sometimes, it can be tricky to remove it. The following steps below should be helpful if this is your first time learning how to remove it.

- On the back of the unit, the cover is attached with some small tabs/clips. You'll need to grab hold of that area (pictured below) and pull the cover out from the tabs and then away from the system.
- There are 2 similar small tabs/clips holding the front of the cover on as well. Feel free to flip the cover over and set it on top of the front area of the unit so you can have access to the control board. Be careful not to disconnect any wires in this process. It's also normal for the plastic cover to make some noise as your moving it.
- Flip the front cover up. You'll notice under the display screen, there are two clips in the front of the unit by your serial/model number decal. Pull each tab out to unhook it from the system and then lift up and back.
- There are two clips in the back as well on the sides of the bypass assembly. Be careful not to disconnect any wires.
